Ericka Sheppard

started a company blog

I spearheaded the conceptualization and approval of the company blog, securing buy-in from key stakeholders, and then meticulously managed the project from inception to launch. I ensured seamless coordination and cohesion by orchestrating a multidisciplinary team of copywriters, web designers, and developers. Navigating complex legal and executive approval processes, I ensured all content and design met compliance standards and reflected our brand image. Post-launch, I assumed responsibility for optimizing the blog’s design and functionality, ensuring a user-friendly platform while continuously curating and editing engaging content and efficiently publishing it on our website. As the ongoing project manager, I persistently drive continuous improvement and maintain the blog’s success as a valuable company asset.

I traveled to Kenya to build a solar microgrid in a community and power a school with The GivePower Foundation.

I spearheaded the comprehensive development of project management software, revolutionizing collaborative workflows for the entire marketing team. Conducting extensive consultations with cross-functional team members, I identified and understood specific project management requirements, ensuring tailored solutions. Managing the complete implementation process, from customization to deployment, I created a cohesive platform for tracking project progress and housing assets and achieved significant time savings through automation. Working closely with all team members, I fostered a user-centric approach to project management, enhancing efficiency and automation while optimizing overall team performance. Continuing collaboration ensures the software remains aligned with evolving project needs, driving continuous improvement.

As the creator of the viral YouTube video against bullying, I initiated a movement to raise awareness and foster empathy for victims. Through my video, I shared my experiences with bullying, using poignant signs and music to convey a powerful message.

I spoke extensively across Fairfield County, CT, and Long Island, NY, leveraging platforms such as CNN Student News, Cartoon Network, Dr. Drew, and multiple news channels to amplify the message. It was incredible to see the impact resonate worldwide, with viewers from as far as Texas, Italy, and Australia engaging with the video.

The overwhelming support and solidarity from viewers, including parents and educators, highlighted the urgency of addressing the pervasive issue of bullying. The conversation extended beyond online engagement, prompting meaningful discussions about bullying and internet safety within schools and communities.

Despite facing cyber-bullying myself in the aftermath of the video’s release, I remained steadfast in my commitment to effecting positive change. My journey has taught me the importance of empathy, understanding, and advocacy in combating this societal challenge, and I am grateful for the opportunity to make a difference.

“6 Feet Closer: The Winter Action Project” was a community initiative I led at Performance Adjusting that supported the homeless during challenging times.

The project successfully provided much-needed assistance to individuals experiencing homelessness during the cold winter months, demonstrating the power of community collaboration and compassion.
